Floral Heavy Oregon Wine-Country Wedding

There are some weddings where every detail feels beautiful, and then there are weddings where the details actually tell you something about the people getting married. Andrea and Jeromy’s wedding was very much the latter.
Set against layers of dramatic green draping, their reception was filled with soft, romantic florals in shades of blush, peach and cream, warm candlelight, natural wood tones and beautifully considered details. The overall effect felt elevated and intimate without being overly formal—a little romantic, a little unexpected, and completely their own.
For their wedding stationery and day-of details, we carried that same balance throughout: classic typography and delicate floral artwork paired with pieces that felt personal, tactile and just a little different.
My favorite piece I created for Andrea and Jeromy’s wedding was, without question, their custom fly-fishing-inspired seating chart.
Andrea wanted to find a meaningful way to honor her late father, and fly fishing provided the inspiration for one of the most personal details of the wedding.
Rather than creating a traditional seating chart, we designed letterpress pieces inspired by salmon and fishing lures. Each guest received their own salmon with their name handwritten and with their table assignment, transforming something purely functional into a keepsake—and, more importantly, a quiet tribute woven into the celebration.
This is always my favorite kind of wedding detail to create. A seating chart certainly needs to tell someone where they’re sitting, but there is no reason it has to stop there. When we can take a memory, a family connection, a place or a shared interest and turn it into something guests can physically interact with, stationery becomes part of the story of the wedding rather than simply decoration.

At each place setting, we created custom folded menus featuring an intricate floral letterpress motif across the cover.
A die-cut oval in the cover revealed each guest’s name underneath, giving the menu an almost book-like quality and making each place setting feel intentionally finished.
But one of my favorite details was something guests might not have even realized was functional: the menu covers were printed in different colors to indicate each guest’s meal selection.
Rather than adding a colored dot, symbol or other obvious meal indicator to the place card, we incorporated that information directly into the design. The result was seamless for guests, useful for the catering team and much more cohesive visually.
It’s one of those tiny details that I love because good wedding stationery shouldn’t just be beautiful—it should solve problems beautifully.
We carried the stationery beyond the dinner tables as well, creating coordinating signage for moments throughout the reception.
A framed sign welcomed guests to the photo booth guest book, while small food cards identified the desserts later in the evening. These pieces pulled from the wedding's overall visual language without requiring every sign to look exactly the same.
And then came one of my favorite shifts of the evening: PDX Dogs.
The late-night hot dog station had its own personality entirely, with a retro-inspired menu featuring warm red and orange tones, plaid and playful illustrations. It was a departure from the delicate floral stationery at dinner—and that was exactly what made it work.
Not every piece at a wedding has to match perfectly. Sometimes allowing a particular moment to have its own visual identity makes the experience so much more memorable.
