WHEN I'M NOT MAKING SIGNS...
I love adventure and trying new things...and sloths!
Hi! My name is Brittany and I am from a small farming community where I grew up playing school and club basketball, participating in the 4-H dog and art programs, as well as beautifying my community with murals, christmas window paintings, and community service projects. I graduated salutatorian from my high school in 2006 and a year later decided to move up to the big city to attend Portland State University. It has taken me quite a few years to branch out and realize what Portland as a city has to offer but now I love everything about it.
Like virtually every 20 something year old in Portland, I worked as a barista for several years and learned the ins and outs of gourmet coffee. I have participated in many of the organized runs that take place including Hood to Coast for three years, the Shamrock run, Race for the roses and many, many others. I love being active, whether it's running, walking my dog—yes, even in the rain—taking aerial silk classes, roller derby (for beginners), and doing obstacle runs like Tough Mudder. I also love traveling, I went to Costa Rica with the sole purpose of finding sloths, which I did and they are amazing! Costa Rica has a beautiful way of life, and their use of color in design in amazing—I plan to go back as soon as possible! I have also been to Mexico, France, London, New York, and Hawaii; fun story—in Mexico while standing in the water, a turtle shot out of the coral hitting my shin with its shell, I had a bruise for a month and screamed like a child believing it was a shark that had attacked me...not my proudest moment, but I have never laughed so hard in my life.
I share my life with my amazing family and friends and love experiencing new things and making memories. I currently share my life with my fiance, Gaspar, my stepson Alex, a shih tzu, a hedgehog, and a tortoise—we are an eclectic group! I look forward to all the new experiences life has in store and learning new things everyday.
Thank you for taking the time to know me, I hope to know you as well!
